Camping
Last of the lesson year when school holiday, it was Monday June 26th 2012, all groups of boyscout grade 7 went camp in Gumeng. It was the school program. We would camp for 3 days. Nine busses took us there. My group were in fifth bus. My group had name Matahari’s group.
Before all groups went to Gumeng, all groups got explanation from the headmaster. After that, we left the school at 8 a.m. .
We got there after attach the journey for about a hour, it was 9 a.m. Then, we took our bags and walked together with other groups to ES N 1 Gumeng.
After it, the boyscout leader called the groups leader for took number in a sheet of paper to numbering the tent place.
My group got number nine. Directly, my group built a tent next to a small Balinese temple. In the midprocess when we built the tent, we got a trouble. But, my group could handle it. After that, the Matahari’s leader divided the duty, there sought water, cooked, and cleaned the tent. I got duty to cleaned the tent while another member were cooking for our meals. After all of duty finished, we had lunch and prayed dhuhur.
At afternoon, we had to taking a part of the PBB competition. After that, we had time until maghrib. The time we used to preparing the competition at night.
At night, we were following the competition. After it, we joined other for watched a film in the front field of ES N 1 Gumeng. It was very colder and darker night. After it, we slept.
In second day, it was day for hiking and visited Cetho temples. At morning (before we were hiking) it was 6 a.m., we were gymnastics first together. After it, we were preparing for hiking. Before we hiked, boyscout leader gave us semaphore question. Finally, my group could to answer it. And then, we hiked for about 15 km.
In the journey we had to sang our group (yel-yel). In the journey, there were some post. We had to visited each post. In the post, boyscout leader gave us some questions and directed us for answer it. After all finished, we continued the journey. Actually, we tortured with it but we had fun and enjoyed the beautiful views.
We got the Cetho temple after hiking for about a hour. It was very tired. After visited the Cetho temple, we came back to the camp location by truck. We very enjoyed the views were there.
At afternoon, after came back from hiking, we took a break. Also, we were preparing the performed for tonight (fire camp night).
It was 6 p.m., the Matahari’s group leader and other group leader had to follow a fire camp night ceremony as reader (dasa dharma).
At night, all groups of boyscout had to follow the fire camp night ceremony. After ceremony, all group had to performed their skills. There were sang, read poetry, and performed a standing comedy.
My group, Matahari, performed a standing comedy. We performed it at the last. After performed skills, we sang together at the last night in Gumeng. After it, we slept.
At the last day camp, we had to clear the tent, we packed our bags, and got ready to go home.
Before we came back to home, we had to follow a end ceremony of camping last year. After that, we got to go home by bus, but went to the school first.
After camp for 3 days, I was so tired. But I was as happy because guess what? My group won. I learned some good lessons that camp.
